After the game there were a lot of nasty things said about goalkeeper Matz Sels who was a little bit hesitant in coming out for the corner from which Aston Villa equalized but not much about the good save he made to keep us in the game during stoppage time.

Newcastle fans support their players through thick and thin which is what Rafa Benitez keeps asking for.

Our Man Of The Match – A Tremendous New Signing

Sunday, September 25th, 2016 · 3 Comments

DeAndre Yedlin is already a fan favorite because of the things he said about Newcastle when he first joined us last month – and how he found out how big a club Newcastle was while he was playing on loan at Sunderland.

Like the sound of that one.

Rafa seems to like the lad and he certainly is a hard worker both in games and on the training field and yesterday was already his 5th appearance for Newcastle as he started for the second game running in place of the suspended Vurnon Anita.

DeAndre had a great game until he had to leave the field after 75 minutes with an ankle injury – and we’re not sure how bad that is and whether he will be available for the colossal game against Norwich City on Wednesday night.

Rafa Rejects All Excuses For The Loss Of 2 Points

Sunday, September 25th, 2016 · 81 Comments

It looked like the corner from which Aaron Tshibola scored Aston Villa’s 89th minute equalizer yesterday should have been a goal kick, after the header from Jonjo Shelvey seemed to hit a Villa defender on the way out of play.

But Newcastle can look at all the chances we missed before that time and the game should have been wrapped up by then.

Players Send Messages To Fans After Disappointing Result

Sunday, September 25th, 2016 · 11 Comments

The result was a bad result for Newcastle especially when we so close to getting our first win against Aston Villa since the season before last, when we took them apart 1-0 at St. James’ Park on 28th February.

That was the game before we lost eight Premier League games on the trot under then interim manager John Carver.

It’s always difficult when you lose 2 points with a minute to play in normal time, but that’s what happened yesterday.

The exact same thing is happening in this transfer window that happened last January  that Cheick Tiote is trying to a make a move away from Newcastle but for one reason or another it may not happen.

In January Tiote was almost certain to leave to join a Chinese Super League club but it didn’t happen and so he stayed at Newcastle and Rafa used him in the side towards the end of last season.

The UAE transfer window is still open for a few weeks, so we suppose Tiote could still leave Newcastle.
